Numerous luxury fashion labels have joined the NFT frenzy, from Gucci to Balenciaga to Balmain. Prada (OTC) is one of the most recent to jump on the NFT bandwagon.

This Thursday, the luxury Italian fashion house will release its first NFT-independent collection. Dubbed Timecapsule NFT, the drop of 100 NFTs will go along with the brand’s latest Timecapsule apparel release.

Prada also created a Discord community server, Prada Crypted as part of its efforts to increase its online presence. Anyone can join the server.

Prada’s Timecapsule drops started in December 2019. The company launches limited-edition products in select markets every Thursday for 24 hours. The company typically offers 50 editions on a first come, first served basis. Each item is delivered to the buyer in a customized package. A NFT will accompany your purchase starting next week. NFTs will be sent to previous owners at a later time.

As per announcements, customers will receive a free airdrop of the digital collectible when they purchase physical merch from Prada’s latest collab with Cassius Hirst, the son of artist Damien Hirst.

Prada x Camillus Hirst Unisex Button-Down Shirts come in white or black. The corresponding NFTs, which are GIF pills capsules of black and white GIFs, can be found here. The collectibles are tied to the drop’s serial number, as well as the number of the physical shirt.

You can drop your taps at the Aura Blockchain Consortium. Prada and LVMH founded Aura with the intention of using Blockchain technology to combat counterfeiting and guarantee provenance.
