AppleWith its next software releases iOS 16 (and iPadOS 16), Apple will bring a host of improvements to iPhones, iPads. This is what the company is likely to reveal during its WWDC 2022 Developer Keynote on June 6.

According to Apple, the iPhone’s updates include notifications and messages, as well as the Health app. Bloomberg. Apple added new notification options last year. This included the possibility to group them into a summary at certain times of the day. There is also a Focus mode which restricts the number of notifications that you can see at specific times. Bloomberg reported that the messaging app will soon get audio messages features.

Bloomberg reports that the Health app will soon get additional features to work with Apple Watch and iPhones.

Apple will reportedly add widgets to its lock screen, including support for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro’s “always on” displays. You’d be able to see the widgets even while your iPhone is on its desk. The iPhone screen turns off when the device is not in use. Android phones from Samsung, Google, and other manufacturers now feature always-on displays.

Apple still unveils new iPhones in fall. It will be months until consumers can buy devices that have this feature.

Apple is also expected to add multitasking capabilities to its iPads, according the report. It made it easier for two apps to be run simultaneously last year. But some iPad users who are seasoned pros have asked for more options that let the tablet run multiple apps at once, just like a Mac.

Apple releases beta versions of new software to users before it is officially announced at an event.

Bloomberg reported that Apple could also unveil new MacBook Air laptops during the event.

Apple spokespeople were unavailable for comment immediately.
