Investing.com — On Thursday the red-hot U.S. labour market saw a rare indication of cooling down. Initial claims for unemployment benefits increased by more than anticipated to reach their highest level in three months.

Labor Department reported that the number of initial claims reached 229,000. That’s 27,000 more than the previous week. This brought the total number of initial claims up to 215,000, a record three-month high.

The historic low of 1.303 million saw a flattening in.
