Kremlin calls U.S.-Russia ties ‘lamentable’ on eve of Putin-Biden call -Breaking

MOSCOW, (Reuters) – The Kremlin described Monday the U.S. and Russia relations as “lamentable”, on Monday ahead of a video chat between President Vladimir Putin with Joe Biden. There they will be discussing the tense Ukrainian situation.

Dmitry Peskov (Kremlin spokesperson) said NATO would focus Tuesday’s calls as well as long-term assurances of Russia’s security with the West. Putin said Moscow requires these guarantees.
