Elon Musk Teases Buying McDonald’s Happy Meal via Dogecoin

Days after Dogecoin fans suggested McDonald’s to accept the meme coin, business magnate Elon Musk has come up with a tweet that he would “eat a Happy Meal on TV” if the fast food company accepts Dogecoin. Elon Musk tweets:

Earlier, few speculations were spread if McDonald’s would accept Dogecoin as a form of payment. Dogecoin enthusiasts raised this issue.

However, tweets between McDonald’s and Dogecoin Co-founder Billy Markus have made the base for the tittle-tattle. On January 19, McDonald’s Twitter (NYSE:) team had posted a tweet of a picture of French Fries, stating to respond with a specially photoshopped image to anyone snagging a fry.

Billy Markus responded to the tweet with:

“Hey #dogecoin fam let’s make sure this tweet response of McDonald’s is their highest engagement one.”

In essence, the tweets state that if the number of Dogecoin crypto fans increase, McDonald’s may get an unexplored demographic of potential customers. Regarding this, one person asked McDonald’s if they would appraise using the meme coin, to which the company responded by saying that they are “continuously evaluat[ing] the payments experience.”
